Griffin is Nine Months Old!

Our little Wildcat hit the nine month mark on Friday!  He's officially been "out" longer than he was "in" haha!  Griffin was decked out in UK blue and ready to cheer on the Cats as they took on a great Indiana team Friday night.  It was an exciting game, but after pulling off a 102-90 win over the Hoosiers, he made sure they knew to...
Bow to the Baby Brow!

After Friday's win, the Cats advanced on to play Baylor in the Elite Eight.  We pulled off an 82-70 win today, and secured a spot in the Final Four where we'll be playing the other team from Kentucky...the Louisville Cardinals, on Saturday.
It's fitting that we're in the midst of March Madness, because that's exactly what this month has been!  Griffin has kept us on our toes with his supersonic crawling skills.  He's been exploring everything, and is quickly learning that there are more things around the house besides his toys to "play with".  Needless to say, baby-proofing is in full force!  He's turning into quite the dare devil these days, too.  Not only is he pulling up on things and cruising, but he likes to let go and reach for things until he realizes he's on his own and changes his mind!  We're just waiting on him to take that first step... (eeeek!)
No new teeth this month, but boy does it seem like we're working on some!  We've had some pretty rough and whiny days lately...poor guy :(  He's putting the two chompers he's got to good use now, with his new favorite snack...Cheerios!
He amazes us daily with new little things he learns.  He loves giving "high fives" now, and is becoming quite the little copy cat...even whistling (squealing) back when you whistle at him!  We're also having fun teaching him how to listen to directions.  It's so neat when we say something like, "Go get your green ball," and he crawls right over and grabs it!
We go see Dr. Badger in a couple of weeks for his nine month check up.  He'll be getting another round of shots, which are never fun...but I can't wait to see how much he's grown!

Daffodils

I love this time of year!  Thanks to the sunshine and warm weather, flowers are blooming everywhere.. and this morning as I opened the blinds and looked out at our back yard, I was excited to see a new burst of color against the fence line.  Bright yellow daffodils...straight from my Mammaw Henry's back yard :)  I planted them after she passed away, and look forward to seeing them bloom each year when Spring comes around.

I couldn't wait to take Griffin outside and let him explore... and I snapped a few pictures of him checking out Mammaw's daffodils for the first time.  What I would give for her to still be around and watch my little man grow up.  She would've loved Griffin, and I sure wish he could've met her.

Finally...some snow!!

Our beautiful drive this morning :)
Just when I was beginning to think we would make it an entire season without snow, mother nature threw another curve ball into the crazy winter/spring mix we've had.  Just days ago, it was sunny and almost 70 degrees...and we were hanging out at the golf course for the first time this year.  Then, this morning we woke up to almost 6 inches of this mysterious white stuff falling from the sky!

I have to admit that I was a little excited to see the accumulation... especially since Griffin has never really experienced a good snow.  Of course, I was scheduled to work today, so we couldn't take full advantage of the snow day...but we snapped a few pictures this morning to document another "first" for little G!

Checking out the snow flakes falling!

No thanks, now where's this SAND you're telling me about?!
