Well, we made it almost 17 months before the shiny pair of scissors touched our little man's hair... and although it was one of the hardest decisions I've made as a mommy, we recently decided it may be time for a little trim :) He looked so sweet with his blonde, whispy curls.. but they were starting to be a tad bit unruly! So, today I called and made the appointment, and waited until the end of the day so that Daddy could tag along after work.
Griffin did great for Ms. Shannon, and sat up in the booster chair like such a big boy. Shannon loves his blonde locks, and agreed that we shouldn't take much off :) Just a little trim should help the rest of his hair start growing and have everything start evening out and become less mullet-like!
Here are some pictures I snapped as our little guy took a big step into big-boy-hood...

Trick or Treat!
Griffin dressed up as a garden gnome this year for Halloween, and he was the cutest little gnome I've ever seen! He had lots of fun visiting the grandparents and walking from house to house! He even got to trick or treat at the Boonesboro camp grounds this year, and loved seeing all the lights and decorations that each campsite had. One of his favorite parts of the evening was checking out his loot when we came home for the night!

Chilly Mornings:)
The house was extra chilly this morning when we woke up, so Griffin and I snuggled up under a blanket and ate breakfast on the couch to stay warm! Who cares if there are toast crumbs everywhere when you've got this face sitting beside you?! I love these mornings with my sweet boy :)
Pickin' Pumpkins
This weekend was GORGEOUS, and since we weren't extremely concerned with the outcome of the UK football game, we packed up our little family and met the Clay's at Evan's Orchard for a fun day of pumpkin picking! Griffin and Kaz had the best time playing on the playground and sipping on their apple cider slushies, and they both picked out big pumpkins for us to decorate this week :) We even ran into our friend Claire from Gymboree, and she jumped in the boys' wagon for a quick picture! It was such a fun day :)

A Trip to the Zoo!
We recently had the opportunity to take Griffin to the Louisville Zoo for an outing with Josh's work. It was a little rainy and humid, but we decided to stick it out, and I'm so glad we did! Griffin absolutely LOVED it, and it was so rewarding to see his little face light up with excitement as he spotted all the different animals:) Here are a few pics from our trip...

14 Month Old Happenings :)
Life is grand as a 14 month old! If the giant grin on Griffin's sweet little face doesn't give it away, I don't know what will :) Here he is during an outing with Mommy today, sipping on his favorite Sonic sweet tea in his car seat...
We've been super busy soaking up the last little bit of summer over the past several weeks, so I wanted to share some of the "happenings" with a few pictures I've snapped along the way! Here we are at one of our favorite places to visit, Newport on the Levee! Griffin LOVED the new train, and even got to take a ride :)
During the week, we enjoy trips to Evan's Orchard where Griffin can play and share a yummy apple pie with Mommy!
And we love hitting up the park to play on the playground and feed the ducks!
Here he is on the golf course with Daddy, working on his putting skills. He loves trying to hit the golf ball...until it goes in the hole. When it does, he throws a fit! We're gonna have to work on that!
A week just wouldn't be complete without visiting the library! Here he is walking in and returning his books so he can pick out some new ones!
It may seem like we're always on the go, but we don't want to miss out on anything fun! When we're at home, one of Griffin's favorite things to do is play with Daddy's hats. It's one of the first things he grabs when he wakes up in the morning! And speaking of mornings...you should see his crazy bed head!
It's a crazy life, but we love it! This summer has been so much fun, and what's even better is that Griffin LOVES to be outside :) I'm looking forward to the seasons changing soon...Fall is my favorite, and I can't wait to see how Griffin reacts to things this year since he's a whole year older! Happy 14 months, Griffin! We love you!
