Griffin is Three Months Old!

Griffin is three months old today, and he wants the whole world to know!   Our little guy is developing a BIG personality…and it’s apparent that he is one happy boy!  Now more than ever, he is giggling, smiling, and squealing with joy.  We're starting to notice different tones in his voice, too...and it's so funny being able to distinguish the "I'm SO mad" from the "I love it!" sound!

We have great conversations throughout the day, and he loves telling “bed time stories” after he’s had his bath.  Here is one from the other night...

Speaking of baths, Griffin loves them now!  He’s learned to kick and splash in the water, and enjoys eating the washcloth as I try to wash his face.  He’s also getting really strong, and with a little support from his Bumbo seat, he can sit up like a big boy!  Now that he’s able to bear weight on his feet, his new favorite thing is standing up and “walking”.  He looks at you so proud, as if to say “look at me, I’m big!”

Some of his other three month old milestones include watching TV, rolling over, and kicking and reaching for his toys.  We've noticed that he favors his left hand with most things, too...so we may have a little lefty!  He's still doing great sleeping through the night...but somehow still ends up sleeping with mommy every once in a while!

Watching TV!
Little lefty!

I'm looking forward to all the fun things this time of year brings, and with today being the first official day of Fall, I can't wait to take him to the pumpkin patch to pick his first pumpkin!  I'm sure there will be many new "firsts" over the next couple of months...so stay tuned as our little guy grows!  We love you Griffin!

Somebody Looks Like Mommy!

Griffin turns 3 months old this week, and out of curiosity, I decided to dust off my baby albums at Mom and Dad's house and take a peak at what I looked like at that age.  I don't know about you...but I think somebody looks like mommy!  :)

Golf Much?

If you ever need to know where the Tramel family is on a warm, sunny day...just head on out to the golf course!

I still haven't figured out why Griffin's allowed to drive the cart, and I'm not?!

All that driving sure does wear a boy out!

Josh's Birthday Weekend

Earlier this month, we traveled to Northern KY to celebrate Josh's birthday.  We stopped at World of Golf in Florence, KY and played a round of putt putt before heading to Newport on the Levee for dinner.  Griffin tagged along for all 18 holes, and helped me score my very first hole in one!  (Something Josh couldn't manage to do that day!)  For some reason, we quit keeping score half way through the game, so I'm not sure who actually came out on top...  But since it was his birthday, we'll just say I let him win!

Hole in One!

The weather was beautiful and we had a great time walking around at the Levee.  Griffin got to see the big bridge and lots of boats, and enjoyed listening to the salsa band that played later that night.

Josh devoured a huge plate of food at Hofbrauhaus....and although I couldn't get him to do the "Chicken Dance" on the table, I think it's safe to say that he enjoyed his first birthday as a Daddy!

Look who's rolling over!

On my belly...again!
This morning while I was getting ready for work, I placed Griffin on his blanket for a little tummy time with his toys.  As I picked up my hair dryer to finish drying my hair, I just happened to look down at the floor.... And there, right before my eyes, Griffin slowly tucked his arm down under his body and began to twist.  I watched in amazement as he kicked his little leg on over and ended up on his back.  I couldn't believe it, but there he was, smiling as big as ever as if to be thinking, "That was fun!"  I quickly put him back on his belly to see if he would do it again...this time for the camera!  Apparently he got a little camera shy, so we'll try again tonight to see if I can catch him in action!

Woah!

Did you just see that, mom!?
